How to Join the Society

Membership of the Mexborough & Swinton Astronomical Society is open to anyone who is interested in furthering the objects of the Society. The objects of the Society are "i) the advancement of education for the public benefit in astronomy and its associated sciences."

All applications for membership must be made in writing to the Secretary. An application form is included in our Constitution & Rules which can be downloaded. By submitting an application an applicant agrees to be bound by the Constitution & Rules.

We ask prospective members to attend at least four of our weekly meetings before we consider their application, the meeting do not have to be consecutive.

All applications are subject to consideration and approval by the Executive Committee.

Once an application is accepted the appropriate subscription must be paid within 28 days.
