Constitution & Rules

Mexborough & Swinton Astronomical Society is registered charity with its stated objects being:

"the advancement of education for the public benefit in astronomy and its associated sciences."

In law the Society is an unincorporated association, the Constitution is our governing document: it sets out what the members and committee can and cannot do. Changes to this document are strictly controlled by the law of the land.

In addition to the Constitution we have several Rules of Membership which the committee can easily modify to better meet the needs of the Society.
