Description: The Andromeda galaxy is our sister galaxy in the local group. It is of a similar size to our galaxy and it lies at a distance of approximately 2.25 million light years. It is the most distant object that can be seen with the unaided eye. Also seen in the image are galaxies M 32 and M 110 135mm camera lens at F8 on a EQ 5 mount. Starlight Xpress MX716 CCD camera 26x60 seconds exposures. Processed with Starlight Xpress software and Astromix. |
