30^th Anniversary

May 2008 marked Mexborough & Swinton Astronomical Society's 30^th anniversary, the Society celebrated this milestone with a special meeting on Saturday, 14^th June. The meeting featured guest speakers Dr Chris Watson, Prof. John Parkinson, Paul Money, and Dr Allan Chapman and a video message from Sir Patrick Moore FRAS.

Several traders were also in attendance giving visitors the chance to browse and buy a range of astronomical books and equipment.

The meeting was well attended by Society members, the general public, and representative of other astronomical societies who came to join in our celebrations.
